INTERNATIONAL SURVEY - PLEASE HELP!

Research on patients who have undergone cancer treatment and experience pain

Do you have cancer or had cancer and experience/d pain? Or are a carer for someone who has or had cancer and experience/d pain?

This survey aims to gather information about patients who have undergone cancer treatment and experience pain - collating information regarding what treatments patients use for their cancer pain (both medical and complementary), how effective they find these treatments, and which medical providers patients tell about their treatments.

The survey is online, confidential, and takes 20-30 minutes to complete. Please just click on the QR code.

This research will collate information from four countries (Australia, Canada, United States, South Africa) regarding what treatments they use including medical treatments and complementary, their decision making as to why they choose these treatments, what information sources they use, how effective do they find them, who do they tell what they are using.

The research team for this survey consists of researchers around the world:

  • Dr Janet Schloss from Southern Cross University in Lismore, Australia is leading this project.

The other research members include:

  •  Professor David Sibbritt from the University of Technology Sydney, Australia;
  • Dr Kieran Cooley, from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, Toronto, Canada;
  • Dr Ryan Bradley, from the National University of Natural Medicine, Portland USA;
  • Assoc/Prof Niki Munk from Indiana University, Indiana USA:
  • Dr Claudine Van de Venter from the University of Cape Town, South Africa.

All members of this research team are part of the International Naturopathic Leadership group through UTS Australian Research Centre in Complementary and Integrative Medicine (ARCCIM).

If you have concerns about the survey or questions, please contact Dr Janet Schloss at janet.schloss@scu.edu.au.
